work with ME

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! The dark thought, the shame, the malice. Be grateful for whatever comes because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”

Treatment PhilosoPHY

In our sessions together my commitment to you is to provide consistent, compassionate, and curious accompaniment on your journey of transformation. This includes becoming conscious of how you show up in your relationships—including your relationship with your self. Together we’ll move toward healing the parts of you that feel stuck, burdened, burned out, out of control, numb, grieving, addicted and in need of relief. Together we’ll work to discover your innate and powerful resources to bring forth the growth and ongoing transformation you’ve always been capable of.

I am committed to therapeutic work that is holistic, culturally sensitive, contextual, and client-centered. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I approach body image distress and eating disorders from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective. My work is trauma-informed and trauma trained. I draw from Attachment Theory, Mindfulness practices, Body-Centered approaches, the Polyvagal Approach and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I am committed to honoring diverse faith backgrounds and spiritual traditions. The formative elements of your spiritual life hold an important place in your healing. Therapeutic modalities do not need to compete with or impede upon one’s relationship with God, connection to a higher power, or the life-giving spiritual practices you’ve carried with you along your journey. You may be flourishing spiritually, in recovery from the pain and trauma of spiritual abuse, in a process of deconstructing your faith, or completely disinterested. All are welcome. It is my intention to meet you where you want to be met and invite your spiritual life into the work as much or as little as you are comfortable.
